First Tomato Producer to Enter Russian Market
Baku / 16.12.20 / Turan: From today, Russia is starting to lift the ban on the import of tomatoes from Azerbaijan. The country's regulator (Rosselkhoznadzor) considered the tomatoes grown in the greenhouse of Aqroterm LLC in Azerbaijan safe and decided to allow them to be imported into Russia.
Interestingly, there is no information in open sources about the company and its greenhouse in the Khizi region. According to the register of commercial legal entities of the State Tax Service, Aqroterm LLC was registered in one of the country houses in the Mardakan village of Baku https://vergiler.az/media/archive/2019/07/23/newspaper_20190723163527.pdf in January 2017. The authorized capital of the company, which was established with a capital of 100 manat, has now reached $ 5.1 million. The director of the company is Parviz Mammad Oglu Aliyev. Approximately 3 months before the founding of this company, with the participation of P. Aliyev, another company was established in the same country house - Aqronet LLC https://vergiler.az/media/archive/2019/07/23/newspaper_20190723161036.pdf. However, in November 2019, this company was liquidated https://vergiler.az/news_print.php?announcement_id=18544.
Note that businessman Parviz Aliyev participated in the creation of 4 more companies in Baku in 2018 (Hövsan Tikinti Servis LLC, APM LLC, Hövsan Tikinti Məmulatları LLC and Hövsan Elektrik LLC).
Russia announced that in the coming days it will lift the import ban from two more Azerbaijani tomato producers.
On the evening of december 8, russia banned the import of tomatoes and apples from azerbaijan. The Rosselkhoznadzor imposed the ban after it found pests in vegetables and fruits.--08B--
