Azerbaijan opens Goris-Kafan road, establishing checkpoints with Russians
Baku/27.08.21/Turan: In the evening of August 27, an agreement was reached on unblocking the Goris-Kafan highway, part of which passes through the territory of Azerbaijan.
According to the Armenian media, Baku agreed to open the road on the condition that joint Russian-Azerbaijani checkpoints will be installed along the road.
Recall that the Azerbaijani military blocked the road on August 25 in two places. The reason for this was the attack on the Azerbaijani border guard by two Armenian soldiers.
During the talks on August 27, the Armenian side promised to investigate the incident.-02B-
