Claims against Azerbaijan in connection with the Lachyn road are groundless – Hakan Fidan
Baku/31.07.23/Turan: A strong Turkey is a strong Azerbaijan, a strong Azerbaijan is a strong Turkey, the Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated at a press conference on July 31 at the end of negotiations with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ceyhun Bayramov.
After the end of the occupation of Azerbaijani lands, conditions were created for political stability in the South Caucasus. Ankara supports the normalization process between Armenia and Azerbaijan. For its part, Turkey maintains contacts with Armenia on the issue of opening borders, Fidan said.
Referring to the opening of the Zangezur corridor, the Turkish Foreign Minister said: "The path to regional stability lies through a comprehensive peace agreement. For this, the opening of a transport link through Zangezur is of great importance."
Fidan called Armenia's accusations against Azerbaijan in connection with the situation on the Lachyn road untenable. He stressed that medical transit is provided through this road, humanitarian aid is provided.
Fidan further stressed that the Lachyn road is an integral part of the sovereign territory of Azerbaijan, and Azerbaijan has the right to establish any regime on it. ---06B---
