Ilham Aliyev: Azerbaijan Ready to Continue Strategic Partnership with U.S.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory message to Barack Obama on his re-election as U.S. President.
The message says that "Azerbaijan is linked to the United States of America with relations of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas." "The joint participation in ensuring the energy security of the world, the fight against international terrorism and achieving peace and stability in conflict areas enhance our bilateral relations to a new level of strategic partnership," then said Aliyev.
He expressed the belief that in the second period of the Obama presidency, "based on mutual interests and common values, ??the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and the United States will further expand and strengthen." "Our countries will jointly continue successful cooperation in the field of international security, economic development and democratic reform," emphasizes Aliyev.
Azerbaijan also has high hopes for the efforts of the United States, as co-chair of OSCE Minsk Group and personally to Obama's efforts to achieve a peaceful and just solution to the ongoing more than twenty years Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within the framework of international law, said Aliyev. -06D -
