Jeyhun Bayramov at the Moscow talks called the conditions for achieving peace in the region
Baku/25.07.23/Turan: As part of his working visit to the Russian Federation, Foreign Mınister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov has held a bilateral meeting with Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov, followed by a trilateral meeting with the Russian Foreign Minister and Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.
According to the press-service of the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan, the meetings focused on the process of normalization of the Azerbaijan-Armenia relations.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov reaffirmed the country’s stance concerning the existing situation in the region, Armenia’s threats and illegal activities against Azerbaijan’s steps towards establishment of peace and security in the region as well as military provocations including interference against aircraft flights. Jeyhun Bayramov underlined that allegations concerning the humanitarian situation in the region are both groundless and political manipulation.
Bayramov highlighted Armenians’ misuse of the Lachin corridor, saying the passage for medical purposes was ensured for the Armenian residents. According to him, despite Azerbaijan’s tabling an offer to use “Aghdam-Khankendi” road, the Armenian side continues to reject all the proposals, which testifies that their allegations concerning the humanitarian situation are the political blackmail.
Minister Bayramov urged the Armenian side to put an end to the attempts to interfere into the process of reintegration of Armenians living in the sovereign territory of Azerbaijan, to unconditionally confirm Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and to withdraw Armenian armed forces from the Azerbaijani lands.-0-
