Participant of Khojaly Genocide Becomes Secretary of "Karabakh Security Council"
Baku / 02.12.20 / Turan: The leader of the separatists Arayik Harutyunyan appointed Vitaly Balasanyan "Secretary of the Security Council of Karabakh."
Recall that after defeat in the war, Samvel Babayan resigned from this post. Before him, this position was also held by Vitaly Balasanyan, who resigned due to disagreements with the policy of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Balasanyan is known as an ardent opponent of reconciliation with Azerbaijan. He was an active participant in the first Karabakh war and was personally involved in the massacres of Azerbaijanis in the city of Khojaly in February 1992.
During the Second Karabakh War, Balasanyan was involved in the protection of the eastern sector of the front in the Askeran region. -02D-
