Soon cargo from Azerbaijan will go through Armenia and Nakhchivan to Turkey - Ilham Aliyev
Baku/31.12.20/Turan: In the near future, the construction of a railway from Horadiz to Zangilan and from there to the border with Armenia will begin, a feasibility study is already being prepared. President Ilham Aliyev stated this during a meeting with Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar on December 31.
“We attach great importance to the formation of the Azerbaijan-Armenia-Turkey corridor. Preliminary instructions given. In the coming days, we will begin construction of a railway from Horadiz to Zangilan and the border with Armenia. A feasibility study is being prepared. I think that the construction of the railway will take a maximum of 2 years, but we believe that there is no need to wait for this, but to transport the goods by rail to Horadiz, and then by road.
This is an important issue on our agenda. I think and I am sure that now we will be able to send and receive goods from Azerbaijan to Turkey through Armenia and Nakhchivan and vice versa.
The opening of the Nakhchivan corridor is an important part of the statement signed on November 10, and it will be implemented,” he said. -02B-
