The Milli Mejlis is going to take care of financial transparency?
Baku / 13.06.18 / Turan: Draft amendments to the law "On Information" was discussed today at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on human rights. The deputy speaker of Milli Majlis, the head of the said committee, Bahar Muradova, proposed changes to the Article 30.1 of the law. In particular, it is provided that information on the annual financial activities of budget organizations, public entities created by the state, non-budgetary funds, in which at least 30% of the shares belong to the state, is required.
Publications will be subject to, including information on appropriations from the state budget and funds received from the disposal of state property.
The order of publication of reports will be established by the Cabinet.
It is assumed that the adoption of this amendment will reduce the number of numerous information requests, increase transparency and strengthen the possibility of public control. The bill was approved and recommended for consideration by the plenary session of the Milli Majlis. -06D--
