At a meeting with cultural figures, I.Aliyev spoke about upcoming reforms
Baku/01.03.19/Turan: On March 1, the head of state met with a group of cultural figures at theHeydar Aliyev Center.
Addressing the audience, Aliyev said he wanted to talk "about the development of Azerbaijani culture."
He justified the need for such a meeting of ongoing reforms in the country, which cover all areas, and in 2019 will be "very serious".
Aliyev admitted that because of the fall in oil prices in 2015, the country's income decreased by four times. I had to take serious measures and go for restrictions. "This crisis has hit our country hard," Aliyev admitted.
In the following years, a number of steps were taken to provide social protection to low-income groups, which yielded results, Aliyev continued.
Listing achievements in a number of areas, he announced major reforms in the judicial and legal sphere and urban planning, and "the chaotic construction in Baku will be put to an end."
As for the sphere of culture, Aliyev reminded about the measures taken in recent years in this area and invited the audience to express their proposals.
