Painting by Jasarat Mammadov Presented to Queen Elizabeth II
Baku / 13.05.18 / Turan: Events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the famous Royal Windsor Mounted Show took place in the UK on May 9-13.
Within the framework of the event, her portrait, drawn by the Azerbaijani artist Jasarat Mammadov was presented on behalf of Azerbaijan as a symbolic gift to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the European Azerbaijan Society said.
Jasarat Mammadov has created an art school with an original style in Azerbaijan. He was born in the family of the Honored Artist, member of the Union of Artists of UNESCO, Sakit Mammadov. For high creative achievements, he was awarded the Order of Honor of the European Academy.
Starting from 2012, with the organization of the Azerbaijan Riding Athletics Federation (ARAF) and the support of the European Azerbaijan Society (TEAS), the Karabakh horses has been successfully representing Azerbaijan at the Royal Windsor Mounted Show.
The performance of the Azerbaijani riders with the special show program Land of Fire - Azerbaijan, accompanied by the performance of the dance ensemble Serhedchi (Border Guard), as in past years, was again received with great interest by the spectators. -06D--
