Scenarios for Contest: “Outstanding Azerbaijanis of Russia” Announced
Baku / 06.23.20 / Turan: On January 7 this year, the Union of Cinematographers of Azerbaijan (UCA) together with the Public Diplomacy Fund named after A. N. Gorchakov announced a screenplay competition entitled: “Outstanding Russian Azerbaijanis”.
The main goal of the contest is to cover the life path of the outstanding Azerbaijanis living and creating in Russia, informing about the achievements of the young generation, and also stimulating documentary films.
About 20 scenarios were presented to UCA. Here is a list of eligible entries (in alphabetical order):
1) The Age of One Family (Togrul Juvarly, Zia Shykhlinsky);
2) The Gajars (Nijat Dadashov, Reihan Isayeva);
3) Ashura House (Akber N. Najaf, Idris Heydarli, Seyran Mahmudoglu);
4) My Memories Live in Me (Nadir Machanov);
5) Mammad (Seymour Elsever);
6) Next (Chingiz Rasulzadeh);
7) You Can’t Gather More Than Three People (Chingiz Rasulzadeh);
8) Lonely (Ruslan Mollayev);
9) Just Emin (Gunel Mehri);
10) The Sun of the East (Ulviya Ahmedova).
At the meeting of the Board of the Union on June 12, the composition of the jury was approved: Rustam Ibrahimbekov (chairman), Vagif Azeryar, Jamil Farajov, Oleg Safaraliyev, Ali Isa Jabbarov.
The Organizing Committee plans to announce the names of the winners of the competition on August 2, National Cinema Day. -02D-
