The first Baku-Fizuli flight
Baku/06.09.21/Turan: The largest passenger aircraft Airbus A340-500 by the AZAL company departed from Baku, made a test flight to the Fizuli international airport, built in the territories liberated from occupation. Boeing 747-400, one of the largest cargo planes of Azerbaijan's Silk Way Airlines, has landed at Fizuli airport. For the first time, cargoes to Karabakh were delivered by air.
Independent journalist Seymur Kazimov shared his impressions of the test flight in the program "Difficult Question".
According to him, the first Baku-Fizuli flight is a rather significant event and should not be belittled - the construction 28 years after the occupation of the airport and the test flight is indeed a significant event. The take-off runner is ready for operation, but all the work in the airport building itself has not yet been completed. Waiting rooms, ticket offices, terminals are not yet ready to receive passengers. Most likely, by the end of September, the work, which is being carried out at a high rate, will be completed and the object will be put into operation.
“Let's hope that the construction of the airport will be completed soon and, in the future, it will be operational, the so-called. it will not stand idle like airports in Zagatala, Gabala, Lankaran,” the journalist said.
Seymur Kazimov said the airport was built on the site of houses that were destroyed during the war. Around the airport, everywhere, you can see the traces of the war.
“Construction of residential buildings in Fizuli has not yet begun, while infrastructure projects are being implemented in the city,” he added.—0—
