Baku /22.12.20 /Turan: A tender for the purchase of 1,000 wheelchairs equipped with an engine has ended. The cost of the tender proposal of the winner of the competition is 10 times higher than the import prices of this item from China declared at the Azerbaijani customs.
According to the Unified Portal of State Electronic Procurement, on December 21, Kemer-Qaya LLC (TIN 6100261791) was announced the winner of the tender for the purchase of one thousand wheelchairs held by the State Agency for Social Expertise and Rehabilitation. The cost of the company's tender offer amounted to over 1.9 million manats or 1,900 manats per unit ($ 1,117). The country of origin is not reported.
For 10 months of this year, Azerbaijan has purchased from abroad 1,221 wheelchairs equipped with an engine. The bulk of these vehicles for people unable to move independently were supplied from China - 986 units. At the same time, Chinese-made wheelchairs are declared at customs at an average price of $ 104.8 per unit. During this period, 173 wheelchairs were purchased in Turkey at an average price of $ 601.3. Imports of motorized wheelchairs are not subject to customs duties, VAT (18%) is levied.
Note that over 10 months of this year, 1,657 units of mechanical movement wheelchairs were purchased abroad at an average price of $ 343.8. ------08B--
