Another contract signed to upgrade SOCAR’s oil refinery
Another contract was signed on February 22, 2016 as a part of the project of upgrade of the Heydar Aliyev oil refinery.
SOCAR press office reported that the contract was signed between the oil refinery and SOCAR Fugro. The contract has been signed by Heydar Aliyev oil refinery director Elman Ismaylov and SOCAR Fugro General Director Chris Mott.
The contract envisages the ground survey works to design infrastructure of the oil refinery and its territories.
SOCAR reported that Fluor company took part in preparation of the plan of ground works and SOCAR Foster Wheeler company is the company that designed the oil refinery upgrade.—0—

Data on Azerbaijan's oil exports for January-October 2024 reveals a significant drop in both volume and value compared to the same period last year, highlighting the challenges facing the oil-dependent economy. The country exported 495,484.05 tons of oil products worth $309.02 million, a decrease of 40.3% in value and 40.7% in volume compared to 2023, when exports totaled 925,225.07 tons worth $572.21 million.
