Azerbaijan and Astrakhan to Establish Ferry and Air Links
Yesterday the President of CJSC Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company Rauf Veliyev met the Governor of the Russian region Astrakhan Alexander Zhilkin.
According to the information on the official website of the head of the region, they discussed two issues - development plans for the ferry service through the Russian port of Olya on the Caspian Sea and the possibility of resuming direct flights on the route Baku-Astrakhan from next year on.
According to Zhilkin, this would reflect the growing level of relations between Azerbaijan and the Astrakhan region. In addition, Astrakhan tour operators are ready to explore the new route, directing tourists to the resorts of Azerbaijan. --17D-
