Azerbaijan has a positive trade balance of $ 10.834 billion
State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan has published the results of the foreign trade turnover of the country for the first 9 months of 2014.
The report shows that the leading trade partners of Azerbaijan are:
Italy - $ 4.215 billion. (Import $ 4,030 billion. Azerbaijan exports of $ 0.185 billion.)
Germany - $ 1.953 billion. ($ 1.462 billion. / $ 0.491 billion.)
Indonesia - $ 1.894 billion. ($ 1.868 billion., / $ 0.026 billion.)
Russia - $ 1.368 billion. ($ 0.471 billion ./$ 0.897 bn.)
France - $ 1.305 billion. ($ 1.188 billion ./$ 0.117 bn.)
Turkey - $ 1.293 billion. ($ 0.378 billion ./$ 0.915 bn.)
Israel $ 1.195 billion. ($ 0.189 billion ./$ 1.006 bn.)
USA - $ 0.887 billion. ($ 0.449 billion ./$ 0.438 bn.)
United Kingdom - $ 0.802 billion. ($ 0.123 billion ./$ 0.679 bn.)
India - $ 0.712 billion. ($ 0.685 billion., $ 0.027 billion.).
Except Russian surplus, Azerbaijan's foreign trade was formed mainly due to oil exports.
Exports reached $ 17.356 billion and imports were $ 6.522 billion. Foreign trade surplus was $ 10.834 billion.
The report also reaffirmed the priority of trade relations with the countries of the euro area, which accounted for 48.08% or $ 11,482,298,000 of the turnover. Exports to the EU increased by 8.26% to 53.32% ($ 9,254.290 million) of total exports. Imports from the EU fell by 18.15% to 34.16% ($ 2,228,008,000) of total imports.
CIS is noticeably inferior in the trade interests of Azerbaijan. The Commonwealth countries account for just 8.73% ($ 2,081,219,000.). Exports to CIS countries decreased by 34.41% and amounted to 3.59% of ($ 622.790 million) of total exports. Imports decreased by 34.16% to 25.2% ($ 1,458,428,000) of total imports.
The rest of the trade was 43.19% ($ 10,315,342,000) with other countries. Exports to these countries declined by 12.62% to 43.09% ($ 7,479,743,000) of total exports. Imports fell by 16.51% to 43.42% ($ 2,835,599,000) of total imports. -0
