Azercell Expands Cooperation with PASHA Bank
The local mobile operator and Internet service provider Azercell Telecom announces the expansion of cooperation of its Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Barama, with PASHA Bank. As stated in the press release, the sides signed the corresponding memorandum.
This is particularly important in the era of dominance of innovative technologies - the Center Barama continues to implement interesting projects. The main objective of this project for both companies is to create opportunities for business growth by promoting ICT and non-oil sector of Azerbaijan.
The Center Barama at Azercell and PASHA Bank have cooperated in the contest of Seedstars World last summer in Baku. The development of the banking sector, innovative technologies in this field, as well as support for small and medium-sized businesses are strategically important areas for PASHA Bank. For this reason, as a rallying point for the goals and interests of the two big companies, the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Barama creates excellent opportunities for successful business cooperation.
The Center Barama, which began operations in 2009, has supported the emergence of new start-ups in the country as well as created opportunities to increase technological knowledge and the development of entrepreneurial skills among young people. Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
