Budgetary Bodies Not to Buy Imported Goods and Services
By the decree of the President of Azerbaijan, budgetary organizations and bodies of executive power have been denied the opportunity to buy imported goods until January 1, 2018. The same applies to involvement of foreigners in tender procedures.
The exception is the state guaranteed foreign loans and grants, as well as public procurement in order to protect the country and state security, as well as the procurement of drugs and medical products and equipment.
In the case of contracts that came into force before the published decree, the decision to purchase is the responsibility of the Ministry of Economy in consultation with the President. --17D-
