Communication of Azerbaijan and U.S. Expanded
As part of the Azerbaijan International Conference "Telecommunications and Information Technology" BakuTel 2012 held in Baku Azerbaijan ICT Forum - USA, organized jointly by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan, American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) and the Embassy of the United States Azerbaijan.
The parties signed a memorandum of cooperation in the sector of information and communication technologies between Azerbaijan and the United States.
The document signed by the head of Ministry of Communications Ali Abbasov and US State Department Coordinator for International Communications and Information Policy Philip Verveer.
The forum, which was attended by government officials and private sector representatives of the two countries, discussed the prospects of the development of relations between the two countries in the field of communications and information technology, by sharing their experiences. - 17D-

In late February, the governments of Pakistan and Azerbaijan are expected to sign an investment agreement worth $2 billion, which will include several projects with SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan). According to Turan, the energy cooperation projects discussed in January in Islamabad and Baku will feature in the agreement. These projects include energy efficiency initiatives, the construction of a pipeline, and SOCAR’s plans to explore the creation of underground gas storage facilities in Pakistan, as well as documents provided by the Pakistani side related to the exploration and extraction of hydrocarbons in the country.
