Dollar deposits are insured up to 3% per annum
On March 1 the Deposit Insurance Fund has lowered interest rates to protect the population's deposits in banks in the dollar up to 3% per annum. In manat still insured deposits up to 12% per annum. Earlier, the Azerbaijani Parliament abolished the limitation of the amount of insured deposits 30 thousand manats. From now on, any deposit amounts will be insured. According to observers, decline in insurance up to 3% per annum in dollars is aimed at encouraging people to keep their money in banks in the national currency.-06D--

The 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change has taken a significant step towards a unified global response to climate change. On the first day of discussions in Baku, participating countries reached a historic agreement on the rules governing the creation and trade of carbon credits.
