During the first 9 months of 2012, the Central Bank has bought on the market $ 978 million
The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) bought in January-September this year $ 978 million on the market.
It is noteworthy that in the same period last year, the bank was forced to sell only $ 497 million from its reserves to maintain stability of the manat.
According to the report on the results of the CBA monetary policy for the three quarters of 2012, the official rate of the manat against the U.S. dollar appreciated by 0.17%. - 15B -

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
