End of Food Market Deflation
Even the State Statistics Committee said the October increase in food prices, including some types of agricultural products. Autumn season contributed to lower prices for most agricultural products. So, cheaper are beans, onions, local cheese, pomegranates, and apples. Prices of potatoes and cabbage, as well as pickles were higher.
According to the survey of buyers in retail facilities conducted by Turan, most of all rose prices for canned goods (+ 15%) and sturgeon (+ 10%). On other products, including cereals, prices rose insignificantly. Many of the products, including eggs, meat and meat products, juices and water, did not become more expensive.
In general, food prices increased by 7% compared with the previous quarter and by 20% compared to the same period last year.
Experts link the price increase with the completion of the summer season, as well as with a number of subjective factors - the artificial inflation, monopolization, the government's inability to influence the consumer market. --17D-
