Imports of motor vehicles exceeds $ 1 billion
Over 11 months of 2012, Azerbaijan had delivered about 93,000 vehicles, the total declared value of which amounted over $1 billion. Today the total number of vehicles in the country is more than 1.1 million units.
According to the State Customs Committee, since the beginning of the year were imported 82.200 cars. On average, one car was estimated at customs for $ 8677; 1000 buses and minibuses were imported, but the average value totaled $48,000.
Cargo fleet is being updated. Over 11 months of this year 8631 truck valued at $ 200 million were purchased abroad.
Since the beginning of about 1,000 special equipment designed for construction and other specialized work were delivered to the country. -08D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met today with Ahmed Moallim Figi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia, at the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry. This meeting followed a discussion held the previous day between Figi and Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Mikail Jabbarov.
