In June, the number of persons employed in the economy increased by 1%
In June this year the number of people employed in the economy increased by 19.4 thousand, or 1%. According to the SSC, by July 1 this year 1 521.1 thousand people are employed in Azerbaijan's economy. During the reporting month the number of workers employed in the non-public sector increased from 610.400 to 631.400 people. The number of workers in the state-owned enterprises and organizations (889.700 people) fell in June by 1,600. --08D--

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
