Inflation for First Nine Months - 11.2%
In the first nine months of this year consumer prices in Azerbaijan increased compared to the same period in 2015 by 11.2%, the State Statistics Committee said.
According to official figures, food inflation for the period was 12.7%. Non-food products increased by 15.9% and paid services - 5.2%.
In September alone, the prices of goods and services increased by an average of 2.3%, including food - 4%, non-food products - 1.6%, and services - 0.6%.
The State Statistics Committee has registered growing prices compared to August of this year, for almost all food items, except for apples, pumpkins and onions.
At the October 7 Cabinet meeting, President Ilham Aliyev said he expects one-digit inflation in 2017. -----08D
