Master Plans for Three Cities Updated
The State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture (SCUPA) is working on a draft master plan of three cities. To this end, a design company is attracted through open tender.
It is planned to update the master plans of the regional centers Bilasuvar, Tovuz and Guba. A source in SCUPA told Turan the existing basic urban documents for these cities were last approved at least 30 years ago.
Today, in 33 cities across the country the construction work is carried out on the basis of documents approved after Azerbaijan’s gaining independence in 1991. At the stage of development and approval of master plans are eight cities (Salyan, Agjabedi, Goychay, Shamkir, Mingachevir, Masalli, Gusar and Khachmaz). ------08D
