Ministers not having dialogue with big business will be removed from office
President Ilham Aliyev intends to intensify the dialogue between the executive and business. Yesterday Telman Aliyev, chief executive of Caspian European Club (CEIBC), which is chaired by the head of state, appealed to ministers asking them not to ignore the initiative of businesses to conduct business meetings.
According to the director, the club has more than 500 companies and organizations from 50 countries. "We first ask our ministers through the media to support the initiative of the President to make productive dialogue," he said. The fact is that of the five leading business associations of Azerbaijan only two manage to systematically organize a meeting at the ministerial level.
"Unfortunately, we sometimes hear from officials illogical, rude and sometimes sensational pretexts for refusing to participate in our business forums. The list of ministers we appeal to with official letters is previously discussed with the heads of companies, which is why the meeting held behind closed doors is an active discussion of issues and proposals in almost all sectors of the economy," complains Aliyev.
Most likely, the ministers did not hear the call from the director of CEIBC and he complained to the President. Telman Aliyev wrote on his Facebook that before the end of June the ministers not hearing the appeal for dialogue will be removed from office. -17D-
