Number of active payment cards of Capital Bank reduced
The total number of active cards of Capital Bank within five months of this year decreased by 12.4 thousand units, or 0.6% to 2,232,054 units.
According to the Bank for the same period the total number of POS terminals decreased by 12 units to 661. In January-May 2013 the bank mounted an additional 21 ATMs, bringing the total number of the equipment up to 477 pieces.
Since 2001, the Bank is a full member of the international payment system MasterCard International, and since 2003, also of Visa International. Today the Bank has been issuing cards Visa Electron, Visa Classic, Visa Gold, Visa Affinity Gold, Visa Platinum, Visa Affinity Platinum, Visa Business, Visa Business Gold, Visa Infinite and Visa Virtual, and MasterCard Standard, MC Gold, MC Platinum, and MC Maestro. - 15D ---

In late February, the governments of Pakistan and Azerbaijan are expected to sign an investment agreement worth $2 billion, which will include several projects with SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan). According to Turan, the energy cooperation projects discussed in January in Islamabad and Baku will feature in the agreement. These projects include energy efficiency initiatives, the construction of a pipeline, and SOCAR’s plans to explore the creation of underground gas storage facilities in Pakistan, as well as documents provided by the Pakistani side related to the exploration and extraction of hydrocarbons in the country.
