Number of Bank Branches Grows
Despite the September reduction in the financial sector, the Azerbaijani banks still increased (0.8%) their branch network by 1 October, bringing the number, including the regional offices, to 758.
According to the Central Bank, the main difference was in banks with equity participation of the state capital (+2.5%) – they opened 41 branches, while private banks opened 717 branches, of which 550 accounted for Capital Bank.
Recall that by October 1 in the country there were 43 banks, of which 41 were private. --17D-
