
Perspectives of cooperation for export of Caspian hydrocarbons to be discussed in Baku
On April 9-10, 2015 big oil and gas companies and Ministries of the Caspian basin states will discuss the perspectives of cooperation for export and transit of Caspian oil and gas resources at the VIII Caspian Oil & Gas Trade Transport Conference in Baku, reads the information released by British Confidence Capital company, which organizes the conference together with the State Oil Academy of Azerbaijan.
Analysis of the latest events and possible scenario of development of cooperation in the region for transit and export of Caspian oil and gas resources, analysis of the currently implemented and future oil and gas projects, further development of the transport infrastructure, cooperation between the countries-partners, issues of development of oil refining and petrochemical industry, logistical problems and their solution as well as other key aspects of the energy sector of the region will be a focus of the conference.—0—

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance. This figure, which includes reserves held by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), far exceeds the nation's external debt, which stands at a fraction of its reserves, specifically nearly 14 times less. This robust reserve position reflects Azerbaijan's fiscal stability and the government’s strategic economic management.
