Production of metal ores decreased by 11.5%

Swiss train manufacturer Stadler Rail Group is set to deepen its partnership with Azerbaijan by investing approximately €10 million to establish a Training and Human Resource Development Center for Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) in Baku.

Azerbaijan generated 23,847.3 million kWh of electricity in the first ten months of 2024, according to preliminary operational data.

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov presented the country’s ambitious green energy goals during a COP29-related event organized by the Federation of German Industry. The event was attended by Germany’s Vice Chancellor and Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, Robert Habeck.

To tax global companies conducting online sales, the State Tax Service developed an electronic platform earlier this year. The Service announced that Apple Distribution International Limited has registered on this platform, received its Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN - VOEN) from the Tax Service, and is now a taxpayer. The portal operates according to Tax Law and Cabinet Decree No. 387 dated October 30, 2023, the State Tax Service reported.
