The Number of Holders of Plastic Cards 5 Million 175 Thousand People
More than 170 thousand Azerbaijanis from the beginning of the year (as of April 1) acquired personal payment cards. Now the total number of holders of the "plastic purses" is 5 million 175 thousand people, most of them pensioners and state.
According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), the so-called social card (for pensions and benefits) account for 49.4% of the total package - 2 million 556 thousand salary through the cards get 1 million 347 thousand people. The number of holders of debit cards, not included in the mentioned level of the recipients of money is 747 thousand, and holders of credit cards are 525 thousand
According to the Central Bank for the first quarter of this year, the turnover of debit and credit cards amounted to 2 billion 308 million manats at 15 million 142 thousand transactions. Most of the transactions (13 million 554 thousand) refer to their own clients' funds to debit cards - on them recorded a total turnover of 1 billion 976 million manats.
Holders of credit cards with limited opportunities had 1 587 million transactions in the total turnover of 332 million manat. - 17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
