On Monday, the Central Bank announced the official rate of the manat to the US dollar on December 27, retaining its previous level - 1.7622 manat per dollar, according to a Central Bank report. The dollar buying rate commercial banks begins with 1, 83 per dollar. Banks only buy currency from the population, but do not sell it. On the black market the dollar is bought at 1.91 manat, and is sold at 1.93 manat.-02D-
