Turkish experts help professional development of junior staff in hotels of Baku
Coaches invited from educational institutions in Turkey conducted a week-long training course for employees of junior staff of 3- and 4-star hotels in Baku. Since 2001, these courses were attended by more than 1,300 people.
The press service of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism told Turan the courses are conducted with the support of Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the brotherly country. Coaches from Turkey are to help the professional growth of hotel staff on reception and registration service, janitorial, maintenance tables, as well as retraining of hotel managers to trainers.
Courses are held at the Institute of Tourism of Azerbaijan and will end in Baku vocational school of tourism on October 31.
Note that at the beginning of this year, the license for the provision of hotel services belonged to 253 businesses and individuals, who own at least one accommodation facility. Only by the time the country has 514 hotels and hotel-type facilities.
Last year, the country adopted national standards for classification of hotels on the "stars". By the beginning of this year, stars of various degrees belonged to 67 hotels.
Last year, the number of employees of hotels in Azerbaijan increased from 6,198 to 7,321 people. - 08D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
