The railway Baku-Tbilisi-Kars will be launched in 2014, said the Minister of Transport, Ziya Mammadov, speaking in Istanbul at the Third Caspian Forum for International Transport Projects.
The Minister called the construction of the road a logical continuation of the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia.
"The first trial train will run on the route until the end of 2014, which would unite the railways in Europe and Asia," said Mammadov. -03D-
