Baku/11.10.23/Turan: The carbon monoxide content in the air in Baku exceeded the norm, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan reports.

According to the report, monitoring of atmospheric air quality is conducted daily through automatic air quality control stations in the Sabail, Khatai, Nizami, Narimanov districts of Baku, Sumgait and Ganja.

Based on the analysis of data received from the stations, during the day the carbon monoxide content in the air in Baku was determined to be 1.3 times higher than normal, nitrogen oxide-4 in Sumgait - 1.1 times higher than normal.

According to the Ministry of Ecology, the reason is  heavy traffic and the activities of industrial enterprises. —0–
