Emir of Kuwait Nawaf al-Ahmed al-Jaber al-Sabah dies
iz.ru: Emir of Kuwait Nawaf al-Ahmed al-Jaber al-Sabah died at the age of 86, the Emir's office reported on December 16 on state television.
“It is with great sadness and sadness that we mourn <...> the death of Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmed al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait,” Al Jazeera quoted the office as saying.
The emir ascended to the Kuwaiti throne in September 2020 following the death of his brother, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in the United States at the age of 91. The next emir of Qatar should be 83-year-old Crown Prince Mishaal al-Ahmed al-Jaber al-Sabah.
