More than 115.1 billion liras were collected during the "Turkey - United Heart" campaign

As of 03:10 local time, the amount of donations during the campaign under the motto "Turkey united heart" to help victims of the earthquake reached 115.1 billion lira (6 billion 106 million US dollars). Received more than 9 million SMS support.

The charity event, in connection with the earthquake affecting 11 provinces of Turkey, was launched on February 15 jointly on the TV and radio screens of Turkey, Azerbaijan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

The "Turkey United Heart" campaign was supported by 213 television and 562 radio channels from various countries of the world.

The Head of State contacted the studio of the live broadcast of the charity campaign under the motto "Turkey is a united heart" by phone.

Erdogan expressed his condolences to the relatives and friends of the victims of the devastating earthquake with the epicenter in Kahramanmarash.

He noted that all the resources of the state are aimed at eliminating the consequences of the earthquake, which caused a devastating impact in 11 provinces of the country. According to the President, more than 250 thousand people are continuously working in the disaster zone.

"Our goal is to build houses within a year instead of each demolished building, in which it will be possible to live safely and peacefully. At the first stage, the government allocated 100 billion liras. As for this action, every lira collected during today's campaign will be used for the needs of earthquake victims."

Politicians, businessmen and artists from all over Turkey, as well as prominent figures of the sports world from Turkey and abroad go live to express support for the Turkish people.
