Ukraine is preparing a response to Russia's missile attacks
Baku/29.05.23/Turan: According to a morning report on May 29, the Ukrainian Air Forces disclosed that the Russians had launched approximately 40 X-101/X-555 air-launched cruise missiles and around 35 attack drones during the previous night. Ukrainian air defense successfully destroyed 37 X-101/X-555 cruise missiles, 29 Shahed drones, and one reconnaissance drone.
Later in the afternoon, Russia launched another aerial attack on Ukraine, this time targeting the Kiev region. The Russian army fired 11 Iskander-M (ballistic) and Iskander-K (cruise missile) missiles. However, all enemy missiles were intercepted and neutralized by Ukrainian defenders.
Major General Kirill Budanov, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, announced that Russia's attempted acts of terrorism had once again been thwarted. Budanov made a statement following the afternoon attack, emphasizing that Ukraine cannot be intimidated by such actions. He reassured those in Russia who may still harbor hopes of intimidating Ukraine that their efforts will prove futile, as the Ukrainian people are resolute and committed to their duties.
Budanov further asserted that the Russians would soon regret their attack, as Ukraine's response would be swift and formidable. He warned those who sought to intimidate Ukraine that they would soon witness the consequences of their actions. The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate concluded by stating that everyone would soon witness Ukraine's response firsthand.
