Ukraine: operational information as of 09.00 on March 24
Baku /24.03.22/Turan: The Russian army (RA) does not abandon attempts to restore offensive actions in order to capture Kiev, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv and Mariupol.
This is stated in a message on the Facebook page of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is noted that the enemy has not completed the task of reaching the administrative borders of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, encircling the city of Kiev and establishing control over the left-bank part of Ukraine.
"He does not abandon attempts to resume offensive actions in order to capture Kiev, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv and Mariupol," the note says.
The RA aviation continues active operations, strikes from the air over the past day, more than 250 aircraft sorties have been recorded (60 more than on March 22). The main targets of the enemy remain military and civilian infrastructure facilities in the Kiev, Chernihiv and Kharkiv regions.
Over the previous day, 11 enemy air targets were hit (7 aircraft, 1 UAV, 1 helicopter and 2 cruise missiles.) Information about their final downing is being clarified.
According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on March 23, a group of Russian Ka-52 and Mi-28n helicopters destroyed 8 tanks, 5 infantry fighting vehicles and APCs, 9 cars and tractors, 3 pillboxes, 7 field artillery guns and mortars of the Ukrainian army during night strikes. A Ukrainian Su-24 frontline bomber was shot down, as well as 16 drones, including three Bayraktars.
No losses are reported. The Defense Ministry will publish information about the losses during the special operation in Ukraine when it deems it necessary, said the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov.-0--
