The protests against pension reform in France are a series of general strikes and demonstrations organized in France since January 19, 2023 by opponents of the Born government's pension reform, which involves raising the retirement age from 62 to 64 years. This is Macron's second attempt to raise the retirement age.
The funded part of the pension has been recognized since 2006. All contributions of citizens to the pension fund before 2006 were exported by the state. The population accepted this step of the authorities with discontent, but without a murmur.
