371 new cases of COVID-19 infection detected in Azerbaijan
Baku/23.07.21/Turan: Over the past day, 371 new cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in Azerbaijan, 153 people have been discharged after recovery, three have died, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan said on July 23.
In total, 339,645 cases of coronavirus infection were detected in the country, including 331,782 were cured, 5,002 died, treatment of 2,681 active patients continues.
Over the past day, 10,448 tests for COVID-19 have been carried out.
Also, 45,734 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
During the day, the number of people vaccinated with the first dose was 13 720, the second - 32 014 people.
The total number of vaccinated in Azerbaijan today is 4 461 701 people, of whom 2 616 230 were vaccinated with the first dose, the second - 1 845 471 people. — 06D-

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) today issued five rulings on applications from Azerbaijan. The case of "Afgan Mammadov v. Azerbaijan" concerned the complainant's exclusion from the Bar Association. Mammadov was expelled based on a complaint filed by a colleague, which he considered unjust. The ECHR ruled that Mammadov's rights had been violated and ordered Azerbaijan to pay him €5,000 in compensation for moral damage and €1,000 to cover legal costs.

During the ongoing COP29 climate conference in Baku on November 14, a group of activists staged a protest condemning Russia's aggression against Ukraine. The activists also denounced countries that supply oil and weapons to nations waging aggressive wars. The protest featured placards with slogans such as: "From fossil fuels to peace!", "End war crimes!", "Punish the aggressor!", and "Phase out fossil fuel use to achieve peace!" among others.
