Academy of Sciences to Elect New President
Baku /23.10.19 / Turan: At 16:00 on October 23, a general meeting will be held at the country's Academy of Sciences.
Its participants will consider the organizational issue. Turan was informed about this in the press service of the Academy.
According to sources in academia, scientists will elect the new leadership of the Academy instead of 85-year-old Akif Alizadeh.
According to the same sources, two people are applying for the post of President of the Academy of Sciences: the Vice President of the Academy, director of the Institute of Information Technology Rasim Aliguliyev, and Nargiz Pashayeva, the sister of the First Lady and the Rector of the Baku branch of Moscow State University. -03 / 71B-
