More than 50 Azerbaijani political refugees living in Europe held in Brussels on June 6 a campaign, organized by the Democratic Movement of Azerbaijan.
According to organizers of the event, the protesters demanded that the EU and the European Parliament to intensify efforts to ensure transparency during the presidential elections in Azerbaijan.
At the end of the action, political emigrants met with Secretary-General of the Department for European parliament for Asia, Philip Kamaris. During the meeting, which lasted more than an hour, the participants informed about the situation in Azerbaijan, violations and suppression of freedoms.
Then the representatives of the European Parliament and the European Union have been distributed newsletters reflecting the political landscape in Azerbaijan, as well as a statement.
