Active mediation: Cavusoglu held separate meetings with Lavrov and Kuleba
Baku/10.03.22/Turan: A trilateral meeting of Russian Foreign Ministers Sergey Lavrov, Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba and Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu is taking place in Antalya on Thursday.
The meeting at the Regnum Carya Hotel began at 11.25 a.m. local time and is taking place on the eve of the Diplomatic Forum in Antalya, Anadolu reports.
Ankara, which offers mediation to Russia and Ukraine, maintains good relations with both Moscow and Kiev.
Earlier today, Cavusoglu held separate meetings with Lavrov and Kuleba.
Ways out of the situation that has developed in recent weeks in Ukraine were discussed.
Ankara stands for dialogue and has repeatedly stated its readiness for mediation between the two neighboring countries. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called on Moscow and Kiev for an immediate ceasefire.
Three rounds of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations were held in Belarus earlier, which did not lead to significant progress in resolving differences. Following the results of the last meeting, it was decided to open humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of residents from a number of Ukrainian cities.—0—
