Aggravation of the Iranian-Armenian relations
Baku/12.06.20/Turan: The day before, a protest rally was held in front of the Armenian Embassy in Tehran, whose participants burned the flag of Armenia. The reason for the protest was the statement made by official Yerevan to open the Armenian embassy in Israel.
After this action, the Armenian ambassador was called to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, where he gave explanations about Yerevan’s plans to open a diplomatic mission in Israel.
The Iranian side does not hide that it is dissatisfied with the plans of Armenia and does not want to put up with it.
An indirect confirmation of the cooling relations and pressure on Yerevan can be considered the meeting of the Iranian ambassador in Baku with the head of the Azerbaijani community of Nagorno-Karabakh. This was perceived from Yerevan as an unfriendly step on the part of Iran.
Observers in Armenia themselves regard the deterioration of relations with Iran as evidence of the failure of the foreign policy team of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. -02D-
