Alasania: Georgia, Turkey and Azerbaijan think about the plan to strengthen their defense capability
«Georgia, Turkey and Azerbaijan are starting to think about developing a plan to strengthen their defense capability," Georgian Defense Minister Irakli Alasania said in an interview with the TV company Imedi.
"These three countries are undertaking joint projects of strategic importance, and agree that in the event of a crisis this infrastructure must be protected. This is in the interests of Europe and NATO, since this transit route is used to transport cargo for the alliance in Afghanistan. The transit is important from the point of view of security, especially against the background of strained relations with Russia.
Representatives of the governments of these three states are beginning to think of a plan to strengthen the defense capabilities and infrastructure protection. These actions are not directed against anyone whatsoever," Alasania said. -02D-
