Aliyev's Conversation with Head of American Foundation for Interethnic Understanding
Baku/03.02.21/Turan: President Ilham Aliyev met with the head and founder of the American Foundation for Interethnic Understanding Mark Schneier in the format of a video conference, according to a message published on the President's website.
Noting that the largest Jewish community among Muslim countries lives in Azerbaijan, Schneier highly appreciated the attention and care of Azerbaijan for Jews, as well as for other communities.
In turn, Aliyev noted that Jews are valuable citizens of the country and, like representatives of other religious and ethnic communities, for centuries have lived in Azerbaijan in an atmosphere of kindness, brotherhood and friendship.
During the conversation, the parties exchanged views on the prospects for relations between Azerbaijan and the United States in the field of intercultural dialogue. -16D06-
