Baku/26.08.23/Turan: On August 26, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev visited the village of Zabukh in Lachyn region, where he got acquainted with the restoration work and met with local residents.
The day before, the first 20 families of Zabukh residents returned here.
During the trip, the head of state is accompanied by his wife Mehriban Aliyeva, who celebrates her birthday on August 26.
The village of Zabukh in the Lachyn region is located near the border with Armenia. It was liberated from the Armenian occupation on August 26, 2022 in accord with the terms of the trilateral statement of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and France dated November 10, 2023.
Recall that the Lachyn region of Azerbaijan was occupied by Armenians in May 1992. It has never been a part of the former Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Region. -06B-
