Another political prisoner amnestied
Yesterday the PFPA activist Ilgar Rzayev was released under amnesty. He was arrested on 11 May 2012 and sentenced to two years in prison on charges of illegal possession of drugs.
Rzayev’s family lived in the area of demolition for the construction of the so-called "winter boulevard" and participated in protests against the violation of the property rights of the local citizens. His mother Shirinbagi Rzayeva spoke at the rally, and accused Ilham Aliyev of arbitrariness to the opposition.
Rzayev himself on 10 May 2012 participated in a protest against the violation of human rights on the eve of Eurovision SC in Baku. -06D –
